St Luke's gospel Chapter 11 verses 1-13, contains some of Jesus' teaching on prayer. In verse 9, we are told to ask, and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
This is something that the members of the prayer chains have found to be true during the past 15 years, as they have prayed for many different people and situations. These have included people who are ill, those undergoing surgery or facing difficult situations, job interviews, those seeking God's guidance and youth activities.
Each prayer request is treated in strictest confidence and the details are given only to the other members of the prayer chain so that they can pray for the situation. A prayer request can just give someone's name, or supply a few more details, for example, that the person is in hospital/has a job interview.
The evening prayer chain is co-ordinated by Jean Wilkes who activates it at approximately 6.30pm each evening.
If you would like members of the prayer chain to pray for a person or situation, or are interested in joining the prayer chain, please contact Jean Wilkes on 01625-874 904.
