You can’t have failed to notice the changes to All Age Worship over the last 12 months, and we hope you like them! It is a service aimed at children but for everyone, and when all’s said and done it’s the only one for them out of 17 services in church, (in a normal month). Many have said to us sometimes even we as adults need a child’s message to make us think. Organising the services has been a challenge, from trying to find a convenient time in our already full and busy lives, when we can all meet together, to tackling brain freeze. Who would think it was hard to find suitable hymns - well it is! You think it’s a good song until you read through and find its not appropriate, and you have to start again. But we get there, every month we manage to pull it out of the hat, so to speak. You have had globes thrown at you from the balcony, teddy bears dancing and hugging you, met Lisa, Lord Percival and Grizzly. You’ve seen us dressed in 1940’s appropriate attire and as shepherds with tea towels, and who could forget that angel! |
We do hope you enjoy the services and receive something from them, and not just stomach ache from laughing. We enjoy arranging and planning the services and do aim to give an important message each month. More importantly the children enjoy the services and want to come, or maybe it’s just to see, what we will do next, who knows? But, most importantly, they want to come to church, they know the songs, understand the talks and dramas (we think), and feel comfortable being there. Please keep supporting us with your prayers and comments, and hopefully we will go from strength to strength, if we can get over the brain freeze and giggles, we will be on a winner. Just watch that space at the front of church each month, then again you may be better watching the sides, the back and upstairs, as you never know what will happen next. If you’ve never been to All Age Worship, you don’t know what you are missing. At least come along and give it a try. What have you got to lose? Cath Palmer |
