Afternoon Group
Our speaker on 19th September will be Dr Steven Hope who is returning to us for a second visit to tell us about his 33 years' experience as a GP.
Looking ahead to next month, do come and join us on Wednesday 17th October for our 67th birthday party. Everybody will be welcome to enjoy good company, food and entertainment - and it won't cost you anything!

Evening Group
Our afternoon tea at June Dearden's house was a great success, was very well attended and made a very good profit. We thank June for the use of her home for which we are very grateful.
August was a quiet month for us with no meetings but we start up again on 10th September with a talk about the Terracotta Warriors by Mrs Judith Higgins. We hope to see you all there.

Social Concern
The Mothers' Union, as well as being a wonderful Christian organisation to belong to in respect of meetings, with excellent comradeship, outings, supporting our branches worldwide and concerning ourselves with provocative issues of the day, is especially interested in social concern. We have debates on subjects such as abortion, domestic violence, drug abuse etc. and have some excellent publications.
