PCC Jottings - November 2009 |

Large print BCP Communion and Mission Praise copies are now available. New seasonal service booklets are being produced starting with Advent. As part of the church outreach, new updated notice boards will be erected facing the A6. Donations towards the cost would be welcomed. The Alpha Course will start on January 12th. Although not that old, light fittings in the narthex and Legh Room will require replacement. There is as yet no resolution to the query regarding the charge invoiced by Stockport Council for grounds maintenance of the churchyard. |
The Growth Action Plan (GAP) is still being refined. A replacement Treasurer for when David Scott stands down has yet to be found. On a positive note, Alan Jones has volunteered to be the independent examiner of the PCC accounts. Expenditure this year is still expected to exceed income by some œ25,000 with a similar forecast for next year. It was noted with regret that Catie-Anne has chosen not to return to the role of Youth Worker after her maternity leave. We wish her well. Given the financial circumstances faced by the church, it has been decided not to advertise the position. It does, however, highlight the significant need for volunteer support to maintain the work with young people in the Pathfinder and CYFA groups. Please remember that PCC members are on the council representing the wider church membership. Let them have your views, comments and questions. Trevor Tinson |
