	PCC Jottings - January 2007
	Our first meeting of 2007 opened with a prayer from Mike Cheslett reminding us that we gather together under God’s guiding hand. Amongst apologies for absence there was Martin Collins! Apparently he and Liz enjoyed an open air communion service followed by a Bengali Pop Concert. We did wonder what such a concert would be like, but no-one really knew! Sylvia Scott pointed out that the Alpha group this time had been smaller numbers but that actually had been right for this particular group. There is still concern about the lack of church income. If anyone has any suggestions as to how to encourage giving amongst all our church members, I think we would be pleased to listen!	We were reminded of our various Mission Contacts which involve several world-wide organisations. The world map by the main entrance shows the work of the church around the world. Spreading the Good News and supporting our fellow Christians continues to be very important. The video projector is not very well at the moment. Hopefully it can be repaired, but if not then we will have to investigate purchasing a new one. The meeting closed with another lovely prayer by Mike Cheslett. Fiona Gray
