Bible Study - Romans 11:33-36

Read Romans 11:33-36
Our relationship with God through Jesus Christ enriches our lives in every circumstance.
I was filled with awe as I watched some of the Royal Institution lectures about astrophysics on television recently. We were presented with the wonders of our expanding and ever changing universe. We heard of stars dying, and being reborn, with great power and light. I was reminded of the great power and knowledge that God has.
Today's reading also reminds us of the wisdom and the ways of God. The wisdom of God in sending Jesus Christ in the confines of a human body seems an absolutely crazy idea from a purely human point of view.
In today's reading, Paul is overwhelmed by the enormity of God's characteristics. He expresses his praise of God, in view of the glorious gospel he has found in Jesus Christ, and the privilege and responsibility of sharing it with so many others.
Paul realised that God in his inscrutable wisdom has given the gospel to the whole world (Genesis 12:3). God's boundless love and grace is being poured out on every person who repents of their sin and invites Jesus into their lives.
To think about
1. What inspires praise in us?
2. How do you express praise? With joy in song, prayer, and dance, and at other times in silence and tears in humility at God's holiness, perfection and light.
3. What effect does praise have on us? It fills us with joy, wonder and delight and a deep sense of God's presence. It enhances our mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing.
Prayer
Fill now my life, O Lord my God, in every part with praise; that my whole being may proclaim your being and your ways.
