View of the Lych gate at the east entrance to the churchyard taken from
London Road.
The Lych gate was built in the Spring of 1921 to replace an old arched
iron gate. It was erected under the will of James Bardsley, one time
sidesman and People's Warden at the church.
The construction is of oak on stone walls. The roof is tiled with stone
slates.
